Its curved-tile form restores architectural beauty while boosting installation efficiency per unit area by 5%, delivering a pleasing fusion of function and form. This first-of-its-kind tile from Jackery
Jackery announced new curved solar shingles at CES, blending in seamlessly with residential roofs. Jackery's XBC curved shingles promise near 25% cell conversion efficiency, exceeding traditional solar panels and other solar roofs. Modular design allows for easier installation on homes of varying sizes, with pricing ranging from $7,000 to $20,000.
Just look at the image above. That's a roof covered in Jackery's system. Not only are they curved (a first for US roof solar panels), but they even come in the popular terra-cotta red that most clay tile roofs have. Additionally, you can choose an obsidian black array.
Jackery had a lot to share at the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES), including its new curved roof solar shingle panels, where elegance meets energy. These aren't your average solar panels, and they look better than Tesla's solar roof. It's the exact type of system I've been waiting for, and here's why.
The XBC solar roof tiles boast a unique 150° curved “smile” design and ultra-thin crystalline silicon solar cells, measuring just 0.13 mm thick. With an impressive efficiency of over 25%, they generate up to 170 watts per square meter, setting a new standard in solar performance.
