Crnogorski Telekom tests 5G+ in cooperation with Ericsson
Accelerated modernization, which began in February 2022 when this telecom was the first to introduce 5G technology in Montenegro, continued with speeds above 1 Gb/s.
M:tel launched its first 5G base station, located in the capital Podgorica, in July 2022. Montenegro, with a population of around 630,000, has mobile services provided by three operators - M:tel, Crnogorski Telekom, controlled by Croatia's Hrvatski Telekom, and One Crna Gora, part of Hungary's 4iG.
February 2 (SeeNews) - Montenegrin mobile services provider M:tel, part of Telekom Srbija group, said it sees its 5G coverage in the country reaching 80% by the end of 2024. In 2023, M:tel installed base stations at fifty key locations across the country and started their network integration.
